Nestled in Como between the Swiss border and the city of Milano is the Hotel Metropole & Suisse. Located in the main square, heart of the town, and directly on the lake, the hotel boasts four generations of Cassani family ownership.

The hotel building is bound to “The Fine Arts”. The lower façade was designed by the famous rationalist architect Terragni.
The unique location at the waterfront in the heart of town and the Cassani family’s management for the past 110 years has made the Metropole Suisse a regular stop for generations of tourists and business men.

After the Second World War, its rooms gave hospitality to some of the most well-known personalities including King Faruk, Princess Fürstenberg and the Royal Family of Denmark. Many of the most famous Italian TV and movie stars have been guests of the hotel, too.

To visit the magnificent villas and gardens that make Lake Como such a hotspot, you only need to walk to the pier in front of the hotel and board one of the many boats towards Villa Carlotta, Villa Serbelloni, Villa Balbianello and the beautiful mansions of the Versace family and George Clooney.

Even more breathtaking is a hydroplane flight from the local AeroClub, unique in Europe.

Cancellations

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

Parking

Private parking is possible on site (reservation is needed) and costs EUR 14.00 per day.
